Sweet and Spicy BBQ Rub


  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon granulated onion
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes


  • In medium bowl, stir together salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika, pepper, garlic, onion and crushed red pepper.


  • This recipe yields about 1½ cups.
