Brava’s Rice Cooker mode lets you cook rice perfectly, effortlessly — and automatically — in the Chef’s Pan at the press of a button.
So how does it work?

- Select “Rice Cooker” tile on the Brava touchscreen.
- Choose white or brown rice. The white rice mode can cook any variety of white rice such as jasmine, basmati, sushi, long-grain, and short-grain rice.
- Select how much rice you would like to cook (1 cup or 2 cups), and then follow the instructions on Brava’s screen regarding how much water to add to the Chef’s Pan.
Tips for Success
- Rinse long grain rice varieties like basmati or jasmine in a fine mesh strainer under running water until the water runs clear.
- Make sure the rice is evenly spread across the bottom of the Chef’s Pan and that all of the rice grains are submerged underwater.
- Our chefs recommend adding a couple pinches of salt before cooking (and a pat of butter won’t hurt either!).
Feel free to get creative here too! Here are some ideas for variations from our chefs:
- Use chicken or vegetable stock instead of water
- Add spices before cooking (ex. Bay leaf, cumin seeds, turmeric, etc.)
- Add whole smashed garlic cloves before cooking
- Add chopped fresh herbs after cooking
