Here’s a little insider info into how Two Tray Cooks work:
- Most use the Glass Tray and Metal Tray.
- Some use the Egg Tray and Metal Tray or Glass Tray.
- Some call for 2 Metal Trays.
- Some call for 2 Egg Trays.
- Not all Combos or Recipes adapt well to Two Tray Cooks.
Cooking with two trays at once presents a unique challenge since the bottom tray is blocked from the top lamps, so we’ve carefully provided you with thoughtful recipes that work well for cooking top and bottom trays simultaneously. While the double decker cooks are listed down below, we asked Chef Travis to share some of his favorites. He says you can’t go wrong with the Open-Faced Egg & Prosciutto Sandwich, Chilaquiles, and The Classic Breakfast Sandwich for breakfast. As a snack or starter, try the Tomato Bruschetta with Toast. His go-to, versatile combos for easy weeknight dinners include:
- Chicken Thighs (Boneless Skinless) with Onions and Peppers: Try it solo then as fajitas or on chicken philly cheesesteaks.
- Chicken Breasts and Mushrooms: Feast on it as is or turn it into a pasta.
- Shrimp and Cherry Tomatoes: All this needs basil, garlic and olive oil for a satisfying pasta.
- Shrimp and Snap Peas: Plate on a bed of lettuce for a snappy salad.
Additionally, Brava Chef Andrew recently developed the ability to bake two Metal Trays of Cookies in 15 minutes, with zero preheat, as well as all Pizza presets.
